We are committed to transforming executive leaders and company culture, and to have fun while doing it! For us that means putting people first and focusing on the potential of the problem-solver vs. the problem to win and succeed in any environment. We believe that organizational health is the most significant factor for enduring high-performance outcomes and that coaching empowers potential to increase awareness and facilitate sustainable growth.

Our Story
THE BEGINNING
Jason graduated as a member of the Class of 1993 from the United States Military Academy. He was commissioned as an aviation officer.
Jason had two transitions from the military. He left in 2000 and returned after 9/11. He served in the 82d Airborne Division, 101st 10th Mountain, 101st Airborne Division, and 3rd Infantry. He spent more than 33 months in combat in Afghanistan. He retired after battalion level command and more than two decades of military service.
His veteran experience includes leadership roles in high tech manufacturing and national nonprofits. After a number of jobs, he would become a professional coach.
THE CRISIS
Like many transitioning military leaders, he struggled to reconcile the trauma from his experiences and navigate life beyond the military. He committed to learning about the military journey and successful reintegration back into society. He formed Ordinary Hero Coaching in 2017 to help leaders bridge the many gaps that emerge through life’s inevitable transitions.
On September 4th, 2021, Jason was out running and collapsed from sudden cardiac death. His type of heart attack - called the “widowmaker” - has a survivability of less than 12 percent. He died on the running trial, was revived by EMS, and put on a ventilator in Intensive Care. He awoke two days later and returned home on September 8th.
Jason has worked with more than 1000 transitioning military leaders through more than 5500 hours of professional coaching. He has received more than 450 testimonials from clients who have worked with him.
Jason is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Jason believes that military leaders have a remarkable and largely untapped potential to contribute and improve the condition of society. This has become the cornerstone of his business.
Jason believes that every ordinary person has the potential to become the hero.
